Colour Refresh

It's that time of year again... Spring cleaning.. spring changes.. fresh colours...
and every 3-5 years Stampin' Up during spring announces changes to their colour line up to freshen things up. Get rid of colours that aren't so popular and bring in new trendy ones!

So every other year the In Colours are retired and a new set of 5 colours come out. This year Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder were due to leave us. They are soooo well loved that they have added it into the Subtles and Regal colour families so they are to stay for another 3-5 years. This spring/early summer they will announce the new In Colours for 2013-2014 that will stick around until 2015.

You may notice there is a new colour mentioned- Smoky Slate. This colour is said to be a lighter grey than Basic Grey which is going to be a colour I will definitely use often! It's super hot right now.

The colours I am sad about leaving to be honest are Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. Thou to be honest since Midnight Muse has come around I haven't used Not Quite Navy often. If you have a favourite colour thats being "Retired"/"Discontinued" order up paper and ink now because its gone for at least 3-5 years or forever!

There are colours that are brand new to me because I haven't been around Stampin' Up! long enough to have known them: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry & Soft Sky. I have seen these colours and I love them. I am so excited to use them!

The other colours in red mentioned are from In Colours 2011-2012 (I think). I liked them but I did not invest in them because I knew they were leaving in the next few months (I joined end of 2011). Those would be nice to use too. I know Blushing Bride was very popular.

Anywho, thats my two cents about the Colour Refresh.
