Ashley Amanda: Inspiration Card for my Filofax

Sometimes you need a little bit of inspiration whether it be from a quote, picture, art, a song, or even your dog. For me quotes shed some light on feelings and I wanted a quote that helps me with composure as well as tie in my love of crafting.

Voila! Picasso said "Art washes away from the soul the dust of every day life" and I thought it was so perfect that I had to add it to my Filofax.

I took a piece of Costal Cabana card stock and cut it to 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" (I did mine at 3 5/8ths but it touches the ring too much so I had to round the corner even more so on the bottom left) to avoid that cut yours at 3 1/2". I used my corner chomped at 1/2" to round the corners. I punched the wholes with a single hole punch using the plastic sleeve that came with it as a guide. I then used a VersaMarker (I can't believe mine wasn't dried out! it's 2 years old if not older!) to write the quote. I wrote one line, added the embossing powder, shook off excess and then wrote the second line. I used the embossing buddy each line before I started writing and occasionally added some more as I went along.

I could of written another in gold on the back piece but instead I wrote it in black pen. Also wrote who said the quotes so I would not forget if someone asked me :)
